CHEQROOM is now part of the SSO family. Many customers were asking for SSO, we listened, and here we are. SSO will be available for our premium plans. In this post, we’ll cover what SSO is and its benefits, which providers we support, and how to implement SSO in CHEQROOM.
What is SSO?
Single Sign-On (SSO) is a user authentication system that lets users access multiple accounts with only one login. The SSO provider searches and requests online authentication via an identity provider to verify if the user is the right person.
What this means for you.
Single Sign-On makes it a lot easier for administrators to maintain and update their database. You can easily give and revoke access rights in one place. This comes in handy if, for example, 20 people are joining the company at the same time or multiple people are leaving the company. Not having to remove users from every single tool will save you a tremendous amount of time, and you won’t forget to delete any account if there is only one place to do so.
You probably know the hassle of using a different password with small variations for every account: ‘ILoveMyDog1234’, or ‘ILoveMyDog4321’. How do you remember which password belongs to which account? In case you forgot your password, with SSO, you only have to change it once. That will cut down the troubleshooting time for the users and administrators. Win-win!
Moreover, It improves the overall security of your company. You have full control over the password strength for your users. You can make strong and safe passwords mandatory. Besides that, you also have the option to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Single Sign-On. This will reduce the chances of being hacked.
