Accessibility at Cheqroom
Cheqroom continually strives to maintain the highest level of accessibility for our Asset Operations platform. We believe that seamless inventory and equipment tracking should be available to everyone, regardless of ability.
In accordance with industry best practices and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, Cheqroom has integrated accessibility considerations directly into the core design of our platform.
Built-in Accessibility Settings
To provide an inclusive experience, Cheqroom features a dedicated Accessibility Menu built directly into the web application. This allows users to easily toggle features that improve readability and navigation without needing to leave their current workflow.
Accessing the Menu: You can access these settings at any time by clicking the Accessibility Icon (the person icon in the circle) located in the top navigation bar.
Available Features & Keyboard Shortcuts:
- High Contrast: Improves text readability by increasing the contrast ratio between text and background elements.

- Reduced Motion: Reduces animations and transitions throughout the application, providing a safer and more comfortable experience for users with vestibular sensitivities.
- Desktop Shortcut: Alt + M
Accessibility Roadmap
Accessibility is an ongoing journey, and our product and engineering teams are dedicated to continuous improvement. While we do not have fixed release dates, our current high-level areas of focus for future accessibility enhancements include:
- Expanded Keyboard Navigation: Ensuring complex components, such as inventory grids, calendars, and booking timelines, are fully navigable and actionable using only a keyboard.
- Enhanced Screen Reader Context: Auditing and updating ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) labels and states across the platform to ensure dynamic content changes are accurately announced to screen readers.
- Color Profile Audits: Continuous reviews of our user interface color palettes to ensure they meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 text contrast requirements by default.
Quality Assurance and Corrective Actions
Cheqroom takes platform accessibility seriously. Our process incorporates accessibility into routine platform iterations, bug fixes, new feature design, and Quality Assurance (QA) testing.
Our teams utilize various tools throughout the development lifecycle to validate compliance and remediate issues, including:
Browser Extensions & Testing Tools:
- ChromeVox
- Accessibility Developer Tools
- WAVE Evaluation Tool
Screen Readers:
- NVDA (Windows)
- VoiceOver (Mac / iOS / Safari)
